About Sarah Taylor
Sarah attended undergrad at St. Olaf College in Northfield where she majored in chemistry and worked in a lab synthesizing dendrimers for possible use as pharmaceutical delivery molecules. It was there that she first developed an interest in pharmacy.
She graduated from St. Olaf and pursued her interest in pharmacy at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. During school, she began working at a compounding pharmacy utilizing her chemistry and pharmacy background to develop formulas for a myriad of pharmaceutical dosage forms and applications.
After graduation, she continued to work at the compounding pharmacy for a total of 5 years. She uses this experience to help with her current position as Pharmacy Technical Consultant at Fagron. Her favorite types of compounds to make include tablet triturates and gummies.
About Tom Schnorr
Tom Schnorr, R.Ph., CCN is nominated for the “Excellence in Patient Outcomes” Award. Tom graduated from the University of Houston School of Pharmacy and received his Pharmacy License in 1980. He spent several years each working in retail pharmacy, then hospital pharmacy, then home infusion therapy; expanding his knowledge base and honing his skills in each discipline, while focusing on the care and treatment of people with HIV/AIDS from 1985 to 1999. In 1985 Tom opened his own Home Infusion Pharmacy and nursing agency in Houston, Texas, specializing in the care and treatment of people with AIDS.
While working on the cutting edge of pharmaceutical medicine in the treatment of the AID/HIV epidemic, Tom began to acquire an understanding of the many varied complimentary and functional medicine modalities that could be applied in the treatment of disease. Today, Tom continues to expand his knowledge and understanding of complementary therapies such as nutritional supplements, herbs, and nutraceuticals, and earned his Certification in Clinical Nutrition in 2004. Tom focuses on helping clients coordinate the best and safest use of prescription medications and natural products to a complete care regime in an effort to reduce side effects and promote a path to wellness
